Your computer is at risk!

You have to take control of your computer to protect yourself against a growing number of - and increasingly more dangerous -   threats online. Criminals, child molesters, identify thieves, hackers and spammers are trying to attack your family & computer. Don't be a victim. Protect yourself before they strike.

The penalty for not being prepared for computer attacks has gone way up. In the early days of the Internet, most viruses were written by teenagers and the damage they could do was limited. Now, computer attackers are more sophisticated and far more dangerous. New viruses can do more damage and may erase your files forever.

Perverts are trying to talk to your kids. The FBI's Strategic Plan for 2004-2009 is chilling:

"One in five Internet users in the United States is sexually solicited, usually at home. By 2005, 14 million child Internet users will be solicited, 2.3 million of those aggressively. The FBI will prioritize investigations involving organizations, e-groups or enterprises exploiting children for profit, and identify and neutralize the most significant online child sexual predators by expanding the Innocent Images database. The FBI will also target “travelers” meeting children they have lured online, and those producing, distributing, and possessing child pornography."

You need to protect your children yourself - the FBI only steps in after it is too late.

Spammers flood your email inbox with pornography, annoying sales pitches and phishing emails designed to steal your credit card numbers, back account information or steal your identity. Your first warning that your information has been stolen could be the bank calling demanding you repay thousands of dollars you never charged.

Spyware can track your every move online. Adware can reprogram your computer and make it useless by overwhelming your computer with thousands of popup ads. At best, spyware and adware are a serious intrusion of your privacy. Worse, a bigger threat is someone can track everything you do with your computer. Imagine someone reading all of your files - your email, your checking account ledger, your family & friend's snail mail addresses and phone numbers. Your information in the wrong hands could be a disaster.
